Surah Competition [At-Takathur] Ayah 8 Location Maccah Number 102

أَلۡهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ [١]

Competition for worldly gains distracts you [from Allah],

حَتَّىٰ زُرۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَقَابِرَ [٢]

until you come to your graves.

كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ [٣]

No indeed! You will come to know.

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَ [٤]

Again no! You will come to know.

كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ عِلۡمَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ [٥]

No indeed! If only you knew for certain[1].

لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلۡجَحِيمَ [٦]

You will surely see the Blazing Fire,

ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ ٱلۡيَقِينِ [٧]

Again, you will see it with absolute certainty.

ثُمَّ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ [٨]

Then on that Day you will surely be asked about your worldly pleasures[2].
