Surah The Cow [Al-Baqara] Ayah 286 Location Madanah Number 2
وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمۡ أَحۡرَصَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ حَيَوٰةٖ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَشۡرَكُواْۚ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمۡ لَوۡ يُعَمَّرُ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٖ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحۡزِحِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ أَن يُعَمَّرَۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرُۢ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُونَ [٩٦]
Und du wirst ganz gewiss sie als die um das Leben besorgtesten Menschen (vor)finden, sogar mehr (noch) als diejenigen, die (Allah etwas) beigesellen. Ein jeder von ihnen möchte gern tausend Jahre am Leben bleiben, aber selbst dass er (lange) am Leben bliebe, würde ihn das nicht der Strafe entrücken. Und Allah ist sehend dessen, was sie tun.
