Surah Taha [Taha] Ayah 135 Location Maccah Number 20
وَلَوۡ أَنَّآ أَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُم بِعَذَابٖ مِّن قَبۡلِهِۦ لَقَالُواْ رَبَّنَا لَوۡلَآ أَرۡسَلۡتَ إِلَيۡنَا رَسُولٗا فَنَتَّبِعَ ءَايَٰتِكَ مِن قَبۡلِ أَن نَّذِلَّ وَنَخۡزَىٰ [١٣٤]
Und hätten Wir sie vor ihm (also dem Propheten) durch eine Strafe vernichtet, hätten sie ja gesagt: „Unser Herr, hättest Du doch einen Gesandten zu uns gesandt, sodass wir Deinen Zeichen hätten folgen können, bevor wir erniedrigt und in Schande gestürzt würden!“
