Surah The heights [Al-Araf] Ayah 206 Location Maccah Number 7
وَإِذۡ قَالَتۡ أُمَّةٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ لِمَ تَعِظُونَ قَوۡمًا ٱللَّهُ مُهۡلِكُهُمۡ أَوۡ مُعَذِّبُهُمۡ عَذَابٗا شَدِيدٗاۖ قَالُواْ مَعۡذِرَةً إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمۡ وَلَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَّقُونَ [١٦٤]
Und als eine Gemeinschaft von ihnen sagte: „Warum ermahnt ihr Leute, die Allah vernichten oder mit strenger Strafe bestrafen wird?“, sagten sie: „Als eine Entschuldigung bei eurem Herrn und auf dass sie gottesfürchtig werden mögen.“
