Surah The heights [Al-Araf] Ayah 206 Location Maccah Number 7
وَإِذۡ قَالَتۡ أُمَّةٞ مِّنۡهُمۡ لِمَ تَعِظُونَ قَوۡمًا ٱللَّهُ مُهۡلِكُهُمۡ أَوۡ مُعَذِّبُهُمۡ عَذَابٗا شَدِيدٗاۖ قَالُواْ مَعۡذِرَةً إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمۡ وَلَعَلَّهُمۡ يَتَّقُونَ [١٦٤]
तथा जब उनमें से एक समूह ने कहा कि तुम ऐसे लोगों को क्यों समझा रहे हो, जिन्हें अल्लाह (उनकी अवज्ञा के कारण) विनष्ट करने वाला है, या उन्हें बहुत सख़्त यातना देने वाला है? उन्होंने कहा : तुम्हारे पालनहार के समक्ष उज़्र करने के लिए और इसलिए कि शायद वे डर जाएँ।[61]
