Surah The Cow [Al-Baqara] Ayah 286 Location Madanah Number 2
لِّلَّذِينَ يُؤۡلُونَ مِن نِّسَآئِهِمۡ تَرَبُّصُ أَرۡبَعَةِ أَشۡهُرٖۖ فَإِن فَآءُو فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ [٢٢٦]
براى كسانى كه [به رسم جاهلیت] بر ترک آمیزش با زنان خود سوگند یاد كنند [= ایلاء می‌کنند] چهار ماه انتظار [و مهلت] است. پس اگر [در مدت چهار ماه یا کمتر، پشیمان شدند و به زنانشان] بازگشتند، [بدانند که] الله آمرزندۀ مهربان است.
