Surah The Standard [Al-Furqan] Ayah 77 Location Maccah Number 25
قَالُواْ سُبۡحَٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنۢبَغِي لَنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنۡ أَوۡلِيَآءَ وَلَٰكِن مَّتَّعۡتَهُمۡ وَءَابَآءَهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ نَسُواْ ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَكَانُواْ قَوۡمَۢا بُورٗا [١٨]
De ska svara: ”Upphöjd är du! Vi skulle aldrig tillbe andra än dig, [än mindre förmå andra till det], men du lät dem och deras förfäder njuta [av livets goda] ända tills de helt försummade din åminnelse – ja, de blev ett folk helt utan riktning.”
