وَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَهَدَيۡنَٰهُمۡ فَٱسۡتَحَبُّواْ ٱلۡعَمَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡهُدَىٰ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمۡ صَٰعِقَةُ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡهُونِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ [١٧]

Ní ti ìjọ Thamūd, A ṣàlàyé ìmọ̀nà fún wọn,[1] ṣùgbọ́n wọ́n nífẹ̀ẹ́ sí àìríran dípò ìmọ̀nà. Nítorí náà, ìyà iná láti ojú sánmọ̀ tó ń yẹpẹrẹ ẹ̀dá gbá wọn mú nítorí ohun tí wọ́n ń ṣe níṣẹ́.
