Surah The heights [Al-Araf] Ayah 206 Location Maccah Number 7
وَقَطَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أُمَمٗاۖ مِّنۡهُمُ ٱلصَّٰلِحُونَ وَمِنۡهُمۡ دُونَ ذَٰلِكَۖ وَبَلَوۡنَٰهُم بِٱلۡحَسَنَٰتِ وَٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ يَرۡجِعُونَ [١٦٨]
またわれら*は地上において、彼ら（イスラーイールの子ら*）を数々の集団に分けた。彼らの内には正しい者*たち[1]もいれば、そうでない者たちもいる。そしてわれら*は彼らが（われら*に悔悟して）立ち返るべく、彼らを善きことと悪いこと[2]によって試練にかけたのである。
