Setting
Surah The Fig [At-Tin] in English
بِّسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ ﴿١﴾
By the fig and the olive,
وَطُورِ سِينِينَ ﴿٢﴾
by Mount Sinai,
وَهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ ﴿٣﴾
and by this secure town:
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍۢ ﴿٤﴾
We certainly created man in the best of forms;
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ ﴿٥﴾
then We relegated him to the lowest of the low,
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۢ ﴿٦﴾
except those who have faith and do righteous deeds. There will be an everlasting reward for them.
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ ﴿٧﴾
So what makes you deny the Retribution?
أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ ﴿٨﴾
Is not Allah the fairest of all judges?
