Surah The Calamity [Al-Qaria] Ayah 11 Location Maccah Number 101

ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ﴿١﴾

The Clatterer (the Day of Judgement)!

مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ﴿٢﴾

What is the Clatterer.

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ﴿٣﴾

What shall let you know what the Clatterer is!

يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ ﴿٤﴾

On that Day people shall become like scattered moths

وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ ﴿٥﴾

and the mountains like tufts of carded wool.

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ﴿٦﴾

Then he whose deeds weigh heavy in the Scale

فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ ﴿٧﴾

shall live in a life which is pleasing,

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ﴿٨﴾

but he whose weight is light in the Scale,

فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌۭ ﴿٩﴾

his head will be in the Plunging

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ ﴿١٠﴾

What shall let you know what the Plunging is?

نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ ﴿١١﴾

(It is) a Fire which is extremely hot.
