Setting
Surah The Fig [At-Tin] in English
بِّسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ ﴿١﴾
By the fig, by the olive,
وَطُورِ سِينِينَ ﴿٢﴾
by Mount Sinai
وَهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ ﴿٣﴾
and by this inviolable city, Mecca.
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍۢ ﴿٤﴾
We have created the human being in the best form
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ ﴿٥﴾
and We shall make him the lowest of low
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍۢ ﴿٦﴾
except the righteously striving believers who will have a never ending reward.
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ ﴿٧﴾
After (knowing) this, what makes you still disbelieve in the Day of Judgment?
أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ ﴿٨﴾
Is God not the best of the Judges?
