Surah The Calamity [Al-Qaria] Ayah 11 Location Maccah Number 101

ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ﴿١﴾

The Clatterer!

مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ﴿٢﴾

What is the Clatterer?

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ ﴿٣﴾

Would that you knew what the Clatterer is!

يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ ﴿٤﴾

[It is] a Day when mankind shall be like scattered moths

وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ ﴿٥﴾

and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool.

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ﴿٦﴾

Then, the one whose good deeds weigh heavy on the scales,

فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ ﴿٧﴾

will have a most pleasing life.

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ ﴿٨﴾

But as for him whose deeds are light on the scales,

فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌۭ ﴿٩﴾

the Abyss shall be his home.

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ ﴿١٠﴾

What will convey to you what this is like?

نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ ﴿١١﴾

It is a blazing fire.
