
Errors in Translating Metaphorical Expressions in the Holy Qur'an in to Malay language
Metaphor is considered one of the Arabic stylistic devices that interpreters of the Quran have addressed, seeing it as a type of linguistic metaphor. The Quran employs metaphors to convey specific meanings that align with the context of the verse. This analysis will examine the translator's approach to the meanings of words that encompass the concept of metaphor in their translation of the Quran into the Malay language, as well as the intended meaning behind the translator's choices in this language.
