Surah The Mansions of the stars [Al-Burooj] in English
وَٱلسَّمَاۤءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡبُرُوجِ ﴿1﴾
By the heaven adorned with big stars.
وَٱلۡیَوۡمِ ٱلۡمَوۡعُودِ ﴿2﴾
And by the Day promised,
وَشَاهِدࣲ وَمَشۡهُودࣲ ﴿3﴾
And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed,
قُتِلَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡأُخۡدُودِ ﴿4﴾
Perish the fellows of the ditch,
ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡوَقُودِ ﴿5﴾
Of fire fuel-fed,
إِذۡ هُمۡ عَلَیۡهَا قُعُودࣱ ﴿6﴾
When they sat by it
وَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَا یَفۡعَلُونَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ شُهُودࣱ ﴿7﴾
And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses.
وَمَا نَقَمُوا۟ مِنۡهُمۡ إِلَّاۤ أَن یُؤۡمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلۡحَمِیدِ ﴿8﴾
And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy
ٱلَّذِی لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ شَهِیدٌ ﴿9﴾
Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ فَتَنُوا۟ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ یَتُوبُوا۟ فَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ ٱلۡحَرِیقِ ﴿10﴾
Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning.
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتࣱ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡكَبِیرُ ﴿11﴾
Verily those who believed and worked righteons works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement.
إِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِیدٌ ﴿12﴾
Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe.
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ یُبۡدِئُ وَیُعِیدُ ﴿13﴾
Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it.
وَهُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلۡوَدُودُ ﴿14﴾
And He is the Fogiving, the Loving,
ذُو ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡمَجِیدُ ﴿15﴾
Lord of the Throne, the Glorious,
فَعَّالࣱ لِّمَا یُرِیدُ ﴿16﴾
Doer of whatsoever He intendeth.
هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِیثُ ٱلۡجُنُودِ ﴿17﴾
Hath there come Unto thee the story of the hosts-
فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُودَ ﴿18﴾
Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud?
بَلِ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِی تَكۡذِیبࣲ ﴿19﴾
But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial.
وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَاۤىِٕهِم مُّحِیطُۢ ﴿20﴾
Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing.
بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡءَانࣱ مَّجِیدࣱ ﴿21﴾
Aye! it is a Recitation glorious,
فِی لَوۡحࣲ مَّحۡفُوظِۭ ﴿22﴾
Inscribed in a tablet preserved.
